Spray Foam Installation for Open cell and Closed cell
Open foam is a great option because it expands after it is initially applied; this means that it can reach those nooks and crannies that otherwise would be difficult to fill. The best part about closed cell foam is that because of its density, it is more resistant to leakage of air or water vapor. Deciding which foam is best depends on the circumstances, so give us a call and we would be more than happy to help!
Blown-In Insulation
Blown-In insulation is basically the process of blowing or spraying foam into walls, concrete, and other parts of buildings. We can blow different types of insulation which will require different methods, and this is something we are here to help you determine!
SPRAY FOAM INFO
Iowa Foam uses insulation products from "Certainteed", "BASF", "BioBased" and "Premium". The foams come in three different foam densities, .5 lb open cell, 1 lb closed cell, and 2 lb closed cell foam for different applications. Iowa Foam offers free quotes to customers and an energy analysis on options for insulation.
INJECTION FOAM INFO
Core Foam is an injected insulation into Block Walls and Block Foundation. It provides a higher R-Value than perlite or vermiculite. It flows throughout the wall, filling nooks and air gaps, and seals around obstructions with no gaps or voids. It Inhibits air infiltration and serves as a physical barrier to pests, and it does not settle and won't pour out of holes in the wall.
INSULSMART INTERIOR FOAM INSULATION®
InsulSmart Interior Foam Insulation® is a relatively new product. This is specifically designed for enclosed cavity applications, like a cathedral ceiling or a stud wall. It is also used in the retrofit of concrete block walls.
CFIFOAM.COM
The InsulSmart Interior Foam Insulation® is one of the highest quality products that has been derived from a new chemistry. The low shrinkage, ultra-low odor, and the fact that it meets or exceeds all building code requirements is what makes this a Class I rated product. This insulation also contains three EPA listed antifungal additives, as well as being tested for termite and mold resistance!
BLOWN IN INSULATION INFO
We also provide Blow-In Insulation which includes both Fiberglass and new "clean" Cellulose Insulation. Whether you need to add more to your existing or start fresh with new insulation, we'll take care of it. When starting fresh we will come in with a giant vacuum and remove all of your old insulation and dispose of it properly at the local landfill. Iowa Foam Insulators also does what is considered a "hybrid" type of insulation. When doing hybrid, we will install 2 to 3 inches of our Spray Foam Insulation and then blow in 10 to 18 Inches of Fiberglass or Cellulose on top of that, depending on the desired R-Value.
THERMAL IMAGING INFO
Infrared or Thermal Imaging is the best thing that has ever happened to the Insulation World. With Thermal Imaging we can see things that our eyes cannot. Iowa Foam has the ability to do Energy Audits, which find the source of air infiltration and gives you the ability to see your home or commercial building's air leaks.
